I recently switched from Windows and picked up a 2009 eight-core Mac Pro. In my attempt to compeltely get away from Windows software I've been in search of an accurate CD ripper. I've been using EAC for years and am hoping Max is the answer.
The problem I'm having is that Max hangs with a spinning beach ball and does nothing else. I have to force quit it every time I launch it. The machine in question is an eight-core 2009 Mac Pro running OS X 10.5.7 with two Lite-On iHAS422 SATA drives.
An ideas that will allow me to rip discs in OS X instead of Windows? Thanks.
