It means Max will write the iTunes-specific ID3 TCMP tag, and use numeric genres only for those present in the ID3v1 spec. It used to do more but as iTunes evolved the necessity to work around things went away.
Max tags FLAC files with "Vorbis Comments" rather than ID3 tags. It's a different tagging standard.Horus wrote:Can I have negative effectes then the generated (FLAC) files are used with other programs?
So Max is not using ID3 tags that are either compatible or incompatible with iTunes when you encode FLACs.
