Problem with Tag

Sorry to say but I can't save the tags, I get this error message:
FLAC error (FLAC__metadata_chain_write)

I ripped some of my CDs and converted the tracks to FLAC with xACT.

I don't understand how Rename Files works. When I modify a tag, say, the year, I can' t save it; the Save menu is grayed.

Do you still have this problem with 0.4.1?

I have just encountered this problem. Let me know if you need a sample flac file that exhibits it.

Hmm, you might be misunderstanding the problem. This has nothing to do with editing tags. I don't have any trouble editing tags. (Besides, I don't need to see topic http://forums.sbooth.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2075 - since I wrote quite a lot of that topic myself, I think I know what it says.) The problem is that, later, when you try to Save, an error dialog pops up talking about a "flac metadata chain" error. It has to do probably with a flac file format that gives Tag difficulties when saving. The problem affects only certain flac files. I am happy to provide a copy of one of the problematic files.
