I just tried converting a batch of flies with Max (I've been using iTunes for conversion since it went gapless) and started getting -
ExtAudioFileWrapAudioFileID failed: ˇˇˇ¸
as an error message about 3/4's of the way through the batch.
Quitting Max and starting over converting just the CD where the problem started to appear, it was able convert properly.
My workflow here was to rip with Max to ALAC and then convert to AAC.
r1077 conversion problem
No. I've been using Max as my ripper.
I always rip to ALAC for archiving.
Since iTunes went to supporting gapless at 7.0, I've been doing my conversion to AAC with iTunes to enjoy the gapless playback goodness.
Just thought I'd check to see how Max is working now at supporting gapless playback (I actually haven't even gotten around to listening for that yet....) and ran into the conversion glitch.
I'm using a G5 iMac for all this.

Problem is still there in r1090.
I've tried converting various batches of files a few times now, and the pattern seem to be that the error message starts to pop up somewhere after Max has converted in the neighborhood of 100-150 files.
Once the message starts to appear, it appears for all subsequent files - Max can no longer convert.
Quitting Max will start the process over again.
