I would know what the easiest way to trigger a script once a rip + encode has completed. The reason is that I want to use Robin Bowes excellent flac2mp3 script:
robinbowes.com/filemgmt/index.php
You might ask why I don't just rip to two formats simultaneously. Well I want to be able to keep the music sets in sync in case I update any of the tags or add FLAC files from a (legal) external source (e.g. http://www.somarecords.com).
Any suggestions.

I'm a bit sorry to say this, but there currently isn't a good way to do this with the AppleScript interface Max provides. I really need someone with some AppleScript expertise to design the interface, because I have never used AppleScript and don't have a good feel for its idioms and common usage.
There might be a way to work something using Automator, but again, I am not familiar with that tool either. I have heard of some users integrating Max into workflows, though.
