Add mp3HD to Max?

Are there plans to incorporate Thomson's new lossless mp3 codec, called mp3HD, into Max?

I hadn't heard of this until now! It sounds interesting, but with the way Max is written, unless they release an open-source encoder it won't be compatible. My next project might work with this, though.
