Max totally does not understand CUE files with foreign character.
CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE FIX IT?
It's a real pain to have to manually replace all those accented characters.

You are wasting your time removing the "foreign characters". Max understands them perfectly. But the cue sheet must be in the correct encoding, namely UTF-8. The problem is simply that whoever you got the cue file from has used the wrong encoding. Fix it. One simple way: Open the cue sheet with BBEdit (or its free little brother, TextWrangler) and save it as UTF-8.
