Hi,
Is it possible with this software to split an mp3 file with a cue sheet in to individual tracks without re-encoding it (lossless)?
When I try using it, it only shows a convert button which starts a conversion process, this however would not be necessary since I only want to split the large audio file into individual tracks.
Thanks!

Re: Split mp3 cue file lossless
Max does not perform lossless (funny word to use for MP3!) splitting of MP3 files.
Re: Split mp3 cue file lossless
Thanks sbooth!
I was using cue-splitter since recently which can split mp3 files without re-encoding them. Unfortunately it's not supported by OS X 10.7 anymore so I'm looking for an alternative.

pcutmp3? It's Java so should work, but I haven't tried on Lion yet.
Re: Split mp3 cue file lossless
Thanks, this does not work anymore on Lion either.
Re: Split mp3 cue file lossless
You could try the mp3splt commandline tool. If you use MacPorts, you can install it from there.
Here's the homepage of the project: http://mp3splt.sourceforge.net for more info.
Good luck...

If I read their page correctly, Rogue Amoeba's Fission, will do it.

Hi all, thanks for your postings. I have decided to use Fission, it seems to be working great!
