Presumably one way around the cache issue is to read in and deal with a twice the caches worth of information at once, and hold it buffered, reading and comparing it all twice would only require two and consecutive seeks surely, and would wipe out the cache in process? or am I missing something here, or can't that much data easily be dealt with?

hoping something is worked out, EAC is one of the few things I miss from windows, that haven't found a mac equivalent for.

the other main one being cd- dvd speed, for checking burn quality.

Aw, criminy. It's bad enough to get spammed, and crummy spam at that. But I got excited when I saw that there was a new post in this thread, that there might be some movement on the secure front. So it goes.
