Hi all.
I´m having next problem. Everytime I convert any file (usually downgrade in bitrate) the file name is renamed with -1 added. In example 'filename-1.mp3' instead of 'filename.mp3'. I´ve just checked Output/Name of Files, try in many ways, but allways get the same -1.
Anyone can tell me what I´m doing wrong?
I´m using Max 0.9.1, and Snow Leopard 10.6.4.
Thanks in advance.
Number added to file name after conversion
Re: Number added to file name after conversion
This is probably a dumb question, but is there a file with the name you've originally chosen already in the output directory?

Re: Number added to file name after conversion
Dumb answer: Yes...
But as far as I can remenber this doesn´t occurs before, or maybe I´m in a mistake.
Anyway you have the next in Output, Options -> Overwritte Existing Files and over this Archive Naming { sourceeFilename }... so it´s ok to add -1 while file is converting temporally, but not after being converted.
It´s strange thing...
I´m just using A better Finder Rename for remove -1 when there are massive directories.
sbooth thanks anyway for your answer and great software!

Set max to encode to a different directory than where your original files are located.
