Converting FLAC to AAC
Converting FLAC to AAC
My intention is to convert FLAC tunes to AAC and place them in iTunes (in a Mac Pro Intel). The conversion was ok but I couldn't get them into iTunes. When I double click they open in Quicktime Player. But when I convert to MP3 they import fine into iTunes. I notice that when choosing formats that AAC is "Core Audio" and MP3 is "built-in". What's this mean and is it the reason I can't get AAC into my iTunes? Thanks.
Re: Converting FLAC to AAC
Did you select MPEG-4 Audio (AAC) as the output file type (extension m4a)? It is a common mistake to choose a different AAC container which will not work with iTunes.
