In a reply to another thread an offer of a beta was made. That got me to thinking: Why not offer betas to us? Compiling is beyond me as I have no real need to know how. But I do feel I, and others, can contribute to this great effort.

I have put up a Max nightly trunk build:
Max revision 745
The Max checkins rate have dropped (from several checkins a day, to no checkins the latest 7 days), so I decided to drop the website and just provide a direct download link.

Not at all! Thanks for doing it.

That's great news. I "had" to go the Fink route once. Then when I wanted PAR2s, with much hand holding I got that compiled (2 weeks before Split & Concat rolled it in). I *could* learn to do it, but bugging you folks would make more trouble for you than just having something like the nightly builds site.
Uh, lose the old avatar, Stephen?

Fuga. I could write you a small build-howto.
That way you could stay more up-to-date than my builds, and maybe even learn a bit.
Just tell me..

I'm sure many would take you up on your offer. Keep in mind what you're dealing with here. If you say, "Compile libraries ..." I'm going to say, "Huh?" If you then say, "Get them from ..." I'm gonna say, "Huh?" We're talking serious hand holding here.

I'm just playing around with a few different ones. I can't really decide what I like.

Ok, then I better stay clear.

Probably wise. I do thank you for the offer. Hosting the builds is enough.
Again, thanks. Take care,
