Hi, I use MAX to convert my AIFF 16/44.1k files to constant 128k stereo MP3's so they can be streamed from my website. Lately I'm finding audio warbles (watery-ness, non glitchy), though slight, they do prove annoying and are slightly audible. Wondering if any of you might have the same issue, or better yet, if there's a fix.

Audio Quality - AIFF to MP3
Re: Audio Quality - AIFF to MP3
If your mp3 audio quality is at 128kbps, you've gotta expect this. Personally I think mp3 has noticable artifacts up until 192kbps or 256kbps. Your audio quality isn't going to sound anything close to CD when your resulting rip is only 1/10th of the file space. Mp3 isn't lossless.
Re: Audio Quality - AIFF to MP3
In short, if your hearing pops or clicks then it's a bad rip, but anything else is just artifacts that are going to happen at that bitrate...some songs more than others depending on how complex the audio is.
