cleaning discs before ripping

what should i use to clean discs? i did a search and found this (the first product), not sure if it's good or not...

i don't want to make my own formula or anything, i was just wondering if there is a good product to buy

By far the best thing is just to take care of them. I have over 2,000 CDs and I have never had a real issue - nothing that little spit and a cotton rag couldn't handle (and that maybe 3 or 4 times in all these years).

what about discs from the library? i'd like to clean them to get an accurate rip

I just used normal soap for doing the dishes and ample amounts of hot water. Worked perfectly, except in some rare cases it made the ripping harder due to the crud no longer filling up the scratches. I didn't take that good care of my discs when I was a teenager :oops:
Project complete: 625 CDs containing 8574 tracks ripped and scanned.
