Flac - First track not recognized with slimserver

Post by fred1322 » Sun Sep 02, 2007 9:43 am

I use Max to rip&convert to Flac and read the files with Slimserver.

The first track of each disc can't be read with Slimserver, either with the built-in decoder or with the FLAC to WAV decoder.

It's work if I encode the two firsts track as multiple track.

It's work if I read the track with VLC.

Any idea?

Thanks

I think you need to uncheck "Generate a CUE sheet". I think that makes Max insert cue data into the CUESHEET metadata block, which, for some reason, breaks slimserver.

It took me a little while to finally track this down.

Fantastic!

Thank you so much gleam, It's indeed work unchecking 'Generate a CUEsheet'.

I'm curious. Are you ripping each track to a separate file or the whole disk to 1 file? The latter works for me, but SlimServer only seems to know the album name. I was hoping it might be able to look up the tracks.

thanks
