... are *not* seen/displayed by iTunes nor they are as Finder previews, but the same files (purchased from Qobuz) do show covers both in Finder and iTunes *before* editing in Tag :-/

Would you be able to send me a file for testing?

just use iTunes to embed cover art then edit the file (any tag) in Tag.
but as I can't launch Tag anymore... can't test if the one I'll PM you shows the issue :-(

I thought I had fixed that bug, but I couldn't remember if the fix made it in b3 or not.

Hi again

I'm ripping to aiff using XLD
all file tags are entered in XLD before ripping
cover art too is added in XLD before ripping

then I use Tag to check if all is fine (eventually I correct typos) and to Calculate Replay Gain

but sometimes, the instant I hit save in Tag... one or two track's cover art does not show anymore (was showing just fine after ripping) in finder's preview
again: I do not touch cover art in Tag, I only use it to add Replay Gain values

hope you have figured out, in the files I sent you, what's up. did you?

thanks

The image data in the files looked fine, so I'm not sure what is being changed by Tag that is causing the art not to be picked up in Finder or iTunes. I'm still trying to figure it out.

... thanks, Stephen

it's pretty odd as... it only happens with some tracks (in a whole CD) and not with every CD :-/

some "funny" character/encoding in a text field?
(but none of the obvious ":", "&", "/" is in any text field of those tracks)

I can send you more examples, if it helps

oh... I forgot: checking with Tag shows that cover art actually is still embedded in the file :-0
