asking because, thanks to one more Mountain Lion bug, sometimes the display becomes "blueish" when a graphics card switch is triggered.

This is something happening at a much lower level than Tag! There is certainly nothing in Tag this specific as far as graphics code goes.

yes but... I don't think the system decides *at random* and all by itself which apps need the more powerful graphics card. there has to be something in the app itself that makes the system take the decision

I'm sure it isn't random. My best guess is that the control I use to display the album art uses OpenGL for displaying, scrolling, and scaling the images which might be causing the switch.
