How do I get started

Post by drjimwillie » Sun Jan 15, 2012 3:12 pm

I down loaded the latest decibel and paid for ti but all I see is the player itself. where do I find the interface with preferences? How do I register my order number. where is there a used guide. I see on other sites that there is more to this, how do I get to it?

There isn't currently a user guide, but there are a lot of questions that have been answered on these forums.

You can access the preferences by pressing Command , or selecting Preferences from the Decibel menu.

To activate your copy, you can double-click your license file in Finder or choose File -> Add Files and select your license.

Thank you. How do I use the other interfaces I've seen, front line or something like that. Is that part of this software and how does it fit in?

Front Row is an Apple-supplied application that is only present on 10.6 (Snow Leopard). It was basically a way to access your multimedia with a slick interface. It doesn't integrate with Decibel.

Is Decibel designed to work with Play or or they both stand-alone players?

They are both stand alone players, and Play's full functionality will eventually be migrated to Decibel.
