I don't like album art as application icon

Post by mbrennwa » Sat Apr 16, 2011 8:42 am

Decibel uses the album art of the currently playing music as it's application icon in the dock and the applications switcher. While some may consider this a nice feature, I don't like it at all. If I look at the dock or the applications switcher, my brain looks for familiar icons to find the stuff I am looking for. It always confuses me like hell if the Decibel icon is different every time, and it takes me much longer to find Decibel in the dock or the applications switcher. Please add a possibility to disable this feature somewhere in the preferences. Please, please.

Thanks
Matthias

You can disable this by unchecking the "Show player status in dock icon" preference.

It actually would be nice if that option were broken into two parts… I really hate the album art as icon, but really like having a progress bar atop the icon…!
