Additionaly to that an option to enter the filenames Decibel has to look for. Control with multimedia keys would be nice, too.

Another thing, rather a bug than a feature: Please let us close the window with cmd+w, right now it quits the player just like cmd+q, extremely annoying!

Thx!
+1 on closing the window with cmd+w or the traffic light, right now the app just closes down ;)

Decibel currently looks for cover.jpg files as album art in the same folder as the music. What other filenames are commonly used?

Besides folder.jpg (never understood why) I for example use front.jpg. But it would be more convenient if it were a variable string (including various formats like .png) I guess.

Do you have some kind of roadmap for Decibel's development? Is your Idea to keep it as a simple player or make it more similar to foobar2000?

Yes same opinion here... but if you cannot integrate such variable string, i also use often
front.jpg
cover.jpg
and folder.jpg

I also have back.jpg for the backcover and inlay.jpg ....and so on
Maybe you can integrate a pic switch every seconds or when you click on the picture, that would be very nice!

A second big! wish by me:
I would like to use the mediakeys globally (like itunes also when decibel is not active)
Therefor i already deinstalled Itunes (no need :) but the mediakeys only works when you have decibel active.
Annoying f.i. when you have an incoming skypecall and wish to switch off the music with one click.

looking forward :)
best regards,

Jan

My music collections are all in cue+ape or cue+flac format, so please support cue format.

Decibel 1.1 and up include cue sheet support for almost all file formats that Decibel can play.

iTunes Browser Plugin is cool.
But my iTunes Library Directory is external HDD.
Please add preference pane that choose iTunes Library.

P.S.
Thank you for Growl Support!
