I have decided to convert all my ALAC albums to FLAC. When I attempt a mass conversion (500 albums or so), Max (7.1) will convert 6-10 albums, then crash.
I have tried half of my library, a third, and smaller and still encounter a crash.
When I do a few albums at a time, it works great.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark
Max encountered a problem...
Good question. The last time it crashed during a mass conversion I found it crashed on a Billy Joel album, the album is still half ALAC and half max converted to FLAC, I have not done anything with it since the last crash.
I'll run downstairs now, and attempt to convert the rest of the album and let you know.

Ok...Actually Mr. Joel wasn't the problem. The next album, Billy Ward (my favorite drummer) had an ALAC file that was only 10mb.
I attempted to convert the track and Max crashed. This is as far as Max was able to get when converting previously, which now makes sense.
I just now tried to play the file with iTunes, and it's a no go.
Based on the file size, I believe it was a bad burn.
It sure would be nice if iTunes would not include songs within the album that didn't burn properly.
Thanks a lot!
