Formats Tab in preferences will not open

I just installed Max and tried to setup the preferences

When I click on the "Formats" tab nothing happens

Is there something else I should be doing?

Posting in the Max forum would be one good idea.

Searching the Max forum would be another; this is an old, well-known issue.
