Hello
Just found this program this morning, looks amazing! exactly what I've been needing. however, when i try to rip mp3's at the best quality setting i get the error 'unable to initialize the LAME encoder' any ideas why this would happen?
thanks

Are you extracting audio from a CD or converting an existing file?

Re: mp3 encoding problem
I'm converting a wav file stored on my hard disc.
Just tried ripping from a disk instead and it works perfect. Is it supposed to be able to convert files aready stored on hard disc?

What format (bit depth and sample rate) is the WAVE file you are trying to convert?

Re: mp3 encoding problem
I'm having a similar problem.
I have a bunch of 24Khz 16Bit WAV files recorded from my Linux PDA.
They play fine in 'Play' - I can convert them to ogg vorbis - but I can't seem to be able to convert them to MP3, I'm always getting the error message:

Re: mp3 encoding problem
I've just tested out the Latest svn build: r1381 of MAX - And the Lame error message has disappeared. So it seems that the LAME version had issues with resampling WAV's .. maybe.
Need any testers for the new build ? I'd help with user testing where I can.
