I recently encoded a bunch of CDs with ogg FLAC using Max 0.8 (mostly because choosing FLAC was causing Max to crash). This morning I tried to convert them to mp3 so I could listen on my portable, but I got an error telling me that the file format was not recognized.
Should Max be able to open an ogg FLAC file? Do I need to do something to get it to recognize those files?
The only step I seem to have missed was when I encoded the files I had just upgraded to 0.8 and did not delete my preferences file. I have since deleted the prefs file and still can't convert from ogg FLAC.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Colin

Re: Max 0.8 ogg FLAC files not recognized
I filed ticket #12.
I was really hoping it was something I did. I guess I'll have to give play a try and see if I can at least listen on the computer in the meantime.
Thanks.
