On occasion I get some WAV files. In the past I used xACT and it talks to Finder and uses the names of the WAVs as the names for the resulting FLACs. Now I'm building an Apple Lossless library and just tried to convert some WAVs to FLAC (for another friend) and to ALAC for me. I ASSumed the resulting files would have their names from the WAVs. Nope. They had to be individually copied from Finder into the Metadata drawer - not so minor PITA. I then went rooting for something similar that is in Tag (Guess tags) such that I hoped I could tell Max to guess the file names. The rest I can batch enter into the Metadata drawer.
Any plans to add this ability?
WAV file names to FLAC
Re: WAV file names to FLAC
There is something on the horizon that will address this problem, yes.
