Decibel/Max/Burn vs. iTunes

I was considering finding something to replace iTunes. Is it my understanding that three programs--Decibel, Max, and, say, Burn--would do that as far as an audio player, a CD ripper (until Rip is available), and a CD burner? Has anybody switched to these three programs? If so, how do you feel about it? If not, what programs do you use? I'm a newbie, so I apologize if these are basic questions.
