No watch folder or library function?

I'm still working on 1.0b! A library, watch folders, smart playlists, etc. will be added over the next few releases.stamfar wrote:No watch folder or library function?

Eh, debatable.sbooth wrote:... so you're not going crazy.

I'm glad there is something new but in my setup it is essential that AyreWave does at least netsend but preferably be able to use AUnits like ARC and Spli-zer
Re: Is there ever going to be a new verion of Play?
Tabbed playlists ala foobar, or at least as an option would be a godsend.
Talking about AyreWave here, and so far i like it.
Another great thing is that the songs remain in the playlist after being played as default behavior, it always bugged me that Play would remove them.

If this is going to be the successor to Play, will you be adding all the features of Play, like organizing songs in genres, like editing metadata? I've got about ten thousand high definition songs by now, and I rely heavily on Play's editing and managing functions. Also, having them all listed in one window and dragging selected titles or genres to another window for playback is just great!sbooth wrote:Check out http://sbooth.org/AyreWave/ . It's the logical successor to Play and the reason why I haven't had time to work on Play during the last year.

Eventually I will be adding those features, yes. But they won't all be in 1.0!bfn wrote:If this is going to be the successor to Play, will you be adding all the features of Play, like organizing songs in genres, like editing metadata? Thank you! Already with Play, I'm absolutely delighted as is and am glad I found this program! Good to know it will continue . . .
Re: Is there ever going to be a new verion of Play?
Will AyreWave be open source like Play? Will I be able to get the source and contribute to it?
(And will I be able to build it, I still have trouble getting Play to build...)

Re: Is there ever going to be a new verion of Play?
The core playback functionality of AyreWave is provided by SFBAudioEngine which is currently available on github: https://github.com/sbooth/SFBAudioEnginedkagedal wrote:Will AyreWave be open source like Play? Will I be able to get the source and contribute to it?
I do not have any plans for open-sourcing the rest of the application at this time.

Stephen, if you ever need any HDCD files, let me know. I've got plenty of HDCD discs, all of which are ripped to FLAC.sbooth wrote:randian wrote: I don't have any files for testing or development.
Re: Is there ever going to be a new verion of Play?
Most of my music is a CD-sized file in lossless compressed form (e.g. flac) plus a CUE file. AyreWave (now Decibel, too bad, I liked the name AyreWave) can't read CUE files.
