Thinking back now I would have 6 favorites. Just clicking, dragging down, and releasing would be so slick, and damn convenient.

I should be careful what I ask for. :o If I saw either of those by themselves I'd be pleased. Having to choose between these two solutions (both of which seem to suffice) makes me feel like Solomon. I do vote for the QuickEncode menu item. I see myself using Max in many different ways at any given t...

But you still have to drill down to get to the choice pane? (ApplicationName>Preferences>Formats?) Better, but not what I'd love - a dropdown thingie from the MenuBar. And frankly, even with truly secure ripping, until the choices are that user friendly, I'll stick to xACT and iTunes-LAME. Once we h...

Feature request

One of the many nifty things about Max is it'll do so much in one fell swoop. However there are times I would only want it to do MP3, another time just FLAC, and another maybe APE. A Favorites list of frequent routines would be very helpful (and help with making things idiot proof). As is, Max is li...

Well, it helps in that I do end up with AIF files.

The trouble is I get two files for every FLAC. Well, to an extent, nevermind that; just checked and in my playings before I had added AIF but the 24 bit selection. I've removed that and assume that the next time I'll only get the one AIF. BUT, the thing is: The reason I had not noticed in mprevious ...

Though I'm not sure what version I am using ...

matters. It's the steps I am clueless about, apparently. I hope to get this figured out soon. I would just as soon use only one app/suite. I have used xACT but I think you are going to figure out how to outsmart caching before the xACT guy does. I actually use EAC for ripping but xACT for everything...

FLAC to WAV or AIF

So, I got some FLAC files and want to make them AIF. How in the blue blazes do I do this? I have played with setting in the Preferences but can't seem to get any thing going that simply takes a FLAC and makes it an AIF. I *can* get it where it makes *another* FLAC and then the AIF. I know I'm not st...

There was once a plugin for FLAC on iTunes but IIRC it doesn't work with Tiger and/or latest iTunes. version. Unless you can hopefully tell me more about iTunes being sufficient. (Well, other than AppleLossless.)

First choice would be Max but there are at least two other apps with that name and several more with Max as part of the name. So, my second choice is Euterpe as suggested by another poster, but that's not in the list. So's I gotta go with Halcyone (or however it was spelled). Whatever it's known by ...

Well, I came here ... (re: file name tags)

just to lurk, uh, look, and hope someone else had posted this. I admit to not taking the time to fiddle much myself. But, since there were no posts I figure I'll just go ahead and get things started. How do I tag a FLAC file's name automatically? From all the announcements for the latest version: "a...
