Varying Track Intervals

Is it possible (and how) for me to increase the interval between my encoded Disc tracks? I can find neither a setting or a reference to this in Max 0.6.1.

What is Tag specifically?

Just what is Tag? A "metadata editor" seems rather ambiguous to me. Can it edit ID3 data?

SACD is a very different format than DVD-A and Redbook. SACD isn't PCM, but is DSD (or DSS, I forget which acronym). The input audio is sampled at ~2MHz, and is encoded as a 1 or a 0 if higher or lower than the previous level sampled. So it's just a continuous stream of 1s/0s saying higher/lower. N...

Re: Converting MP3s to higher bit-rate?

Is it possible to convert a 64bps mp3 file to 128 bps and still have the file sound okay? Yes, its possible. But I dont see why you want to do this. 1. Additional loss in sound quality (the 128kbps file will sound worse than the 64kbps one). 2. Twice the filesize (especially when you consid...

Hi, I'm using max 0.5.6 on OS X 10.4.6 and I'm having the same problem as described by the original post. I did switch the freedb server to an http server on port 80 and I still ended up with a 'write failed' error. Is it perhaps the only information I edited was in the comments section ? Could it ...

Max Log Files

If more than one Log file is saved to the same location, does each succeeding log append the previous log or does just over-write it?

But if Max has to be renamed, I'd like the name Halcyone.

SACDs and DVD-Audio discs use higher bitstreams (is that the right term?) and sampling frequencies. There aren't many releases in each format, though there are some releases by well-known musicians. Higher fidelity support might also be of interest to field recorders, among whom 24-bit/96kHz is bec...

Modifying incorrect track info?

shanecavanaugh wrote:To change the Artist, Album, Year, Genre, and Composer for individual tracks, check the Compilation checkbox above the track listing.
Won't doing this make the resulting encoded album be identified as a compilation, which it isn't?

Modifying incorrect track info?

How can I modify incorrect track info when part of freedb info is grayed-out? I was correcting track titles on a CD I planned to rip/encode when I discovered that one track title contained 3 songs. But freedb lists the the track title as the 3rd song title. The 2nd & 3rd title are in the area devote...

:?: Anyone know why when I try submit disk information to freeDB I get the error message "write failed to freeDB" With the exception of my email address, the freeDB preferences are set to their defaults. The preferrd server is freedb.freedb.org and it's using port 8880 with the CDDBP. I'm using Max ...
