Well, today it's working. Same files, same everything. Weird.

Re: CUE + ape: CUE file not usable?

I'm starting to think this problem is general with CUE + ape. I have several examples where CUE + ape means that Decibel won't display the tracks from the CUE, and I can't find any where it does display them.

But it displays the CUE just fine if the other file is a Flac.

CUE + ape: CUE file not usable?

I have a CUE + ape pair. The ape plays fine in Decibel. The CUE is acceptable to COG, which shows the tracks and plays them. But when I give the CUE to Decibel, nothing happens; nothing appears in the playlist. I attach the CUE file for inspection.

Re: Best Quality Output format when ripping Cds?

Audio CD is 16-bit 44.1 KHz. You cannot improve upon this by ripping at some higher setting.

Are you playing back the CD and the ripped file in two different ways? For example, CD through a CD player vs. ripped file through your computer's internal DAC would give very different results.

Re: Split file with cue excluding pregap

Well, I couldn't (build it). The code relies upon numerous external frameworks that are not provided, and there are no instructions for obtaining them.

Re: Splitting single FLAC with Cue sheet (proper names)

Thanks, specifying another output folder did the trick. Excellent, thanks for trying that and for reporting back. And also for posting screenshots, which is what allowed me to take a guess at the source of the problem. The poster on http://forums.sbooth.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5026&p=13480&hilit=sp...

Re: Splitting single FLAC with Cue sheet (proper names)

Start by specifying a separate output folder. There's a reason why "Output directory not specified" is in red; this is Bad Idea (tm). Do NOT output to the source folder. Plus your temp folder doesn't exist, which adds to the difficulties I recommend outputting to a folder on the Desktop, and using t...

Re: Decibel and Airfoil (again)

Actually the ALAC claim sounds optimistic to me. My impression was that whatever arrived via wireless to e.g. an Airport Express was lossy-compressed. Certainly my Airport Express puts out very disappointing sound. That might be because it's lossy-compressed or because the D/A conversion inside the ...

Re: Max generated FLAC not recognised by Pioneer BluRay

You are saying "Max-generated FLAC" but you haven't proved which of those terms is the issue. You need to separate the terms. So make a FLAC from the very same files using some other application (such as xACT or XLD, or even flac at the command line) and see if your device plays that. If it can't, F...

Re: Best app to control Decibel on iPad

You could try any VNC app - it represents the Mac's screen on your iPad, so you can tap on the iPad screen to click on the Mac screen, etc. I use this one: http://rafsoftware.com/rafsoftware/home/
