Hmmm, I wonder if Fluke could be enlisted here. It doesn't meet my needs because all it's really doing is converting, needlessly taking space and processing and thus unable to play gaplessly (though is better on higher powered machines). All I know is FLAC through Swinsian has no glitches. FLAC through any other player then Airfoil will have glitches. So Swinsian must converting to ALAC before sending whereas Decibel/Audirvana/Cog/whatever starts to send FLAC, and keeps doing it, and Airfoil says "Oh, crap! Can't you wait a sec whil...

MPEG4 Audio (Apple Lossless) is what you want - only lossless that iTunes will play. You can play FLACs using Fluke but it's lousy for gapless playback and generally is a band aide.
