I just learned of this problem last week. It seems to be related to ScriptingBridge on 10.10 specifically but I haven't been able to narrow down the cause further than that.

It sounds like you may be using the app store version of Decibel. There is an issue with the OS X sandbox that prevents files from being saved; I've fixed it for the new version (1.3.2) which has been submitted and should be available soon.
