Re: Happy 10th anniversary!
Interesting. Once I logged in, the dates seem to have changed and now I see a lot more forum activity newer than 2011. But alas, the question about updating apps so they run on current OS versions remains. I looked through te forum quickly but didn't see any official statements on the status of thes...

Re: Happy 10th anniversary!
Other than a few updates from you, it looks like the last activity on this forum was from 2011. Do you think you may ever update your apps so the work on current versions of Macos?

Re: Problem Converting 24bit FLAC files
I just ran into this same problem, trying to convert a few FLAC files. I even tried the 'unstable' version off the site. I forget the build number bout the 'about this app' calls itself 0.9.2.
Do you want me to just send you one of these FLACs that is causing problems?

I don't know which files it was choking on, thats part of the problem. It didn't tell me, it just said A file had a bad name and stopped. And as far as all those characters go, my files are named automatically based on the track soooo not much I can do about it. Other than manually sorting through 3...

File Name Trouble with Windows
So I had ripped about 260 CDs for someone using Max. I loaded up all the AACs onto a hard drive and plugged it into the windows PC. Then I tried to drag all the music into iTunes. It kept getting about 2/3 of the way, and then it would get some error about a file name being too long or containing in...

I used to use the basic ripper because i rip batches of hundreds of CDs and I need speed. After reading this post I figured I've give Paranoia a try, if its going to give my clients better audio and not add significant time to the ripping. Well, most of this client's CDs are TRASHED and CD paranoia ...

CPU Usage
I've been noticing that Max isn't maxing out either of my CPUs. Its doing about 90% CPU. How come? This is when doing encoding but no ripping, so all the files are on disk. It can't possibly be a hard drive bottleneck. Whats holding it back? I'd love to get a 10% performance boost in my encoding.

Little more: CDDB doubles would still come off this main window in sheets asking you to pick. Ideally the sheet would be bigger than it is now, to show more data to help make your choice. Also these sheets should stop or slow down ripping and encoding processes already in progress. And when there we...

iTunes 6 + Photoshop = The solution to this problem. Wanting Max to have a "1 Window" interface doesn't mean one window for everything, it means one window per.... function. In other words, one window for cd ripping/encoding, and one window for file converting. Here is my mock up. Its not a .nib, it...

Crash Recovery
OK I've been thinking about it, I have a few ideas how to make the app recoverable from crashes. This all came about from me today when my Max crashed. At the time I had 7 CDs being ripped 11 GB of already encoded music, and 448 songs/25GB of music in the encoder queued up to be encoded. When rippin...
