aiff files from Live, unrecognized by Tag

I have problems with Aiff files originating from Ableton Live 8, that are not recognized by Tag 0.4.1. Tag says "unrecognized format". I tried changing the file extensions to ".aiff" but this does not make a difference.

Any advice for investigating this further?
