'The call to AudioConverterSetProperty failed.' error
Hi all. I'm getting the dreaded "The call to AudioConverterSetProperty failed." error message when trying to convert certain MP3 files to AAC, but only on some MP3 files—most are fine. The files that cause the error will convert to FLAC or be re-encoded into MP3 without a problem. The error only occ...

Re: NEED the "resample" option in the LAME options dialog
Now that things seem to be running okay on Leopard, could we take a look at what it would take to add this option in the dialog box?
Thanks

If I could only get the MusicBrainz query going, though... An error occurred while accessing the disc on device disk1. *** -[MusicBrainzHelper initWithCompactDisc:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x17e48d00 I'm getting this too. Has anyone figured out how to fix this issue? Thanks --Dan

Re: The new name for Max will be...
I think 'max' should still be included in the title somewhere so that people will follow the association. 'Max' also does a good job of impyling that the intention of the program is for highest level of quality in terms of audio, which is the big draw of this app. Hence, "MaxRip": * Keeps the conti...

NEED the "resample" option in the LAME options dialog
Would it be possible to add a popup menu for the "resample" option for LAME MP3 encoding (11, 22, 32, 44)? When I encode audio books, I use the following LAME options: -V 7 -q 0 -m m --resample 22 This resamples the audio down to 22 kHz, which can save a significant amount of space. Tests on a 4-min...

Re: Feature Request: more option for Lame mp3
I would argue should be made apparent in the standard interface. Personally, I'd love it if a little "(v0)" showed up next to the "100" on the slider, "(v1)" next to "90", etc. Would be so helpful. Regardless of what the LAME user interface standards might say, the people I trade the things I encod...

Re: The new name for Max will be...
I'm happy with Max - it's well known in Mac circles at least....How about Rip, Record or Encode? What about simply "MaxRip" or "MaxRipper"? That way you keep the recognition that the name "Max" has built in the community, but now the name indicates what the app is. "Max" is just too generic of a na...

Manual LAME settings?
I was excited to find Max because it uses cdparanoia for ripping, but I'm extremely disappointed that I can't seem to give my own command line arguments for LAME. In the "Configured output formats" in Preferences, is there any way to specify the exact parameters for the LAME MP3 encoder, instead of ...

Re: Can't search for "LAME" on this forum
Hmmmmm. It says the same thing if you search for "mp3":
"The following words in your search query were ignored: mp3."
That seems rather odd. Any of the admins know what's going on there?

Can't search for "LAME" on this forum
If you try to search for the word "lame" in this forum, it responds with the following: "The following words in your search query were ignored: lame." Could one of the administrators take the word "lame" out of the list of "bad words" that the forum app removes? It would be useful to be able to sear...
