Updating the LAME codec?
Can you walk me through configuring the latest stable LAME build? I notice the included one is a 3.9# behind

Smart Playlist formatting
Is a 'not played within the past week' smart playlist possible? I can't figure out the formatting.

Re: General questions - getting the most out of Max
so... are there optimal settings I should be using? I was able to find out that my drive has an audio cache of 37kb, and that as long as Max reads in bursts of more than that it shouldn't matter. edit: After some testing (both with EAC and with Max) I'm really happy with the job Max does. The Macboo...

General questions - getting the most out of Max
I just want to make sure I'm using Max to the best of its abilities. I'm on a recent Macbook, and I'm pretty sure the drive caches data, does this make a difference as to whether Paranoia or one of the other rippers is the most accurate? Using Paranoia with all the error correction options set, will...

Re: Is there a way to keep the TOTALTRACK value from being set?

Is there a way to keep the TOTALTRACK value from being set?
I don't like it

Re: Playback stability of r901
Using r901, I experienced some skipping while running an install of Windows XP in Parallels, however other programs (Safari, etc.) were lagging as well so it's probably nothing to worry about. However, I am getting a more worrying skip when extracting .rar files with MacPAR Deluxe and running a vide...

Awesome player!
I'm a recent Mac switcher, and former Foobar user, and I've been looking for a decent audio program that supports my Oggs and Flacs. I wasn't really happy with Cog - I keep my music organized, so it was usable with the browser, but a decent library solution (with tagging, no less) is definitely bett...
