...but I'm stumped. When I rip CDs in Version 0.7.1, the encoded files all end up loose in one folder. With earlier versions of Max they would be neatly tucked away in separate folders for each CD without any extra input from me. In the finder click command/shift/g then type "/Volumes" (without the quotes) in the window that opens up. That should take you straight to the Volumes directory and allow you to access anything that's in there.

I reported this as a bug and it is apparently fixed for the next release. The problem I found was that all of the ape files that crashed Max when added to the converter had non-standard characters in their names -- in my case the titles all contained the character "é" (accent over the "e").
