Yes - go to System Preferences on you Mac, then go to CD's and DVD's. You can then select what happens when you insert a music CD>

FLAC Picture Metadata Support in Tag

Its great that MAX supports adding PICTURE Metadata to FLAC files. Is here anything on the roadmap to allow Tag to support adding/changing album art pictures for FLAC files?

Thanks!

I think you are correct, if I take a source flac that gave me errors before and remove the contents of the comment tag, it transcodes and imports fine. However, some of the files that have the problem do not have a newline character showing in the comments field, at least when I view them in Tag. Al...

1.) I am not quite the geek needed to know what I am looking for. I have installed 0xED. What do I need to look for? 2.) Alternately, suggest an ID3 tool and I will install that and output whatever results you want. 3.) Alternately, I can post a flac and the transcoded MP3 for you to look at on the ...

Tag Problem Transcoding FLAC --> MP3 --> iTunes

I am having some tagging difficultings when I do the following: 1.) Rip via Max to flac format. Name, Artist, Year, Genre, Track X of Y, Disk A of B, and comments. 2.) The tags show properly when using Tag to review and edit. Cog plays the files properly and thows the tags properly in the info scree...

This would be *very* useful to me. What I would like is the ability to save my current set of preferences as a profile, and then pick profiles from a quick menu or dropdown.

That would make a great program just a big greater :-D

Dude, you are my hero :-D.

I see no reason why not to integrate this into Max should you want. I imagine you already have the frameworks in there to support the underlying tagging.

I'll use it either way, and I'll post back with my thoughts soon.

So Max needs to ignore case in comments. I will fix this for the next version.
0.5.5 works. Thanks for the quick turnaround!

Can you provide the specific tag names from your files (using metaflac --list) for which data was lost? I think I have found the issue: the case of the key name in the vorbis tags. Below is metaflac output for a file where only the Artist tag carries over: METADATA block #2 type: 4 (VORBIS_COMMENT)...

FLAC Conversion Fails

For me, some files transcoded from FLAC lose tag information. If I rip a CD to a FLAC using Max, and then transcode the FLAC to any other format, the tag information (Artist, Title, Year, Disk Title, Genre) is passed to the new files by Max, as expected. However, I tried transcoding some of my exist...
