Re: r1057: Crash at startup

Unless... Remain does not yet use Leopard, used a much older (instable) version of Play at first, then installed 1054 Play-Tiger (which creates a new database in ~/Library/Application Support/Play-Tiger/) and then updated to 1057 Play (which again uses the database in ~/Library/Application Support/...

Suggestions: Edit Metadata

1) It'd be nice if the "Edit Metadata" dialog could be resized, at least horizontally. This is mainly because sometimes, the file path longer than the dialog width, and in such a case, there's no way to see the missing part. (no Tooltip, nothing) (For the same reason, I'd also suggest this for the T...

What could be solutions to this problem?
(other than completely starting over at another forum, but even then, spam could still occur)
Approve new members?

Oh yeah, I'm also wondering:
Are phpBB boards more prone to spam bots than other forums, such as vBulletin?

Man, the latest bot, with the username "Ballie," spammed ALL the forums, with MULTIPLE messages.

Could anything be done about this?

Support for M3U playlist files

Are you planning on ever having Play support them?

M3Us are just text files with a list of the file names (or the complete file path, either relative/absolute) separated by line breaks
so I don't think it's extremely hard to pull off.

Thoughts and opinions?

Re: Suggestion: Making the Library OPTIONAL

All that is possible in the current state of Play. You only need to apply the following principle: 1. Always add titles via the Play Queue 2. Always remove titles via the library Actually, this is exactly what I do. Obviously, it is necessary to remember that you should not use any more the options...

I wonder: Maybe there should be a command, for instance a key combo command-delete (backspace) or a key combo option-command-K, that when used on selected tracks anywhere in the interface (library, play queue, playlist) will always remove the tracks from the library also. Hey... this got me thinkin...

I think it is not the Library that you want to be optional, I think you want the Play Queue to be optional and be able to play directly from the Library list. Actually, I had considered that, but there are some key things that the Queue can do that the Library cannot: 1) You can order the list in a...

Does that mean the Play Queue would not be remembered between launches??

If so, bummer.

Yes, I agree that one shouldn't care about the size of the Library file; heck, who would worry about the size of preference and data files like .plist files? But what I do care about is if I use Play with an "ignore the Library" mindset for a long time, then suddenly, I pull that divider up and BOOM...
