Right now the only AU Decibel supports is Apple's 31-band equalizer.

What version of Mac OS X are you running? I may have accidentally linked one of Decibel's dependencies to 10.11 instead of 10.7+.

The way Decibel currently works with mono files is to map the output channels using the multichannel speaker mappings (in Audio MIDI Setup). The stereo mappings are only used for 2 channel files.
