Re: Does Tag *really* need to switch...
Hi Stephen yes but... I don't think the system decides *at random* and all by itself which apps need the more powerful graphics card. there has to be something in the app itself that makes the system take the decision unless (as I'm more and more prone to believe ;-) those people in Cupertino... do ...

Does Tag *really* need to switch...
... to the ATI Radeon graphics card in my (dual graphics) MBP? :-/
asking because, thanks to one more Mountain Lion bug, sometimes the display becomes "blueish" when a graphics card switch is triggered.
so... unless Tag actually need to... *please*!!!
thanks

Can't reopen some (AIFF) files
whilst looking in Safari for some info to add, I left Tag open and with unsaved changes for... 10 minutes. then I finished editing tags and saved now, when I try re-opening those files Tag says they're not valid AIFFs =:-0 but... they play just fine in iTunes, <s>Decibel</s>, Audirvana and both Max ...

Re: Tag 1.0.1 glitches and request
thanks, Stephen
and... whilst at fixing stuff... could you please also check why iTunes does not import the "Grouping" tag from aiffs?
(it's empty, after importing tracks in iTunes, but it is not in original files)

Re: Tag 1.0.1 glitches and request
... so... may this be the reason why Tag 1.0.1 doesn't show *Comment* field(s) that Tag 0.41 shows? I have no idea what tagging software Qobuz.com is using, but opening their FLACs with Tag 0.41 I see *Comments* not shown by Tag 1.0.1 Foobar too (run in Windows using Parallels) shows them just fine ...

Re: Tag 1.0.1: corrupted artwork
obviously *not*
all the issue I reported so far are *always* reproducible on both my MBAir and iMac
only way I can use Tag without issues is quitting and relaunching before editing tags in a different "tab" (Basic, Sorting, Misc etc) :-/

Re: Tag 1.0.1 glitches and request
some more glitches:
- can't calculate Replay Gain for 24-176.4 files (tried with FLACs)
- "Comment" field shows as "Description" in "Tag 0.41 (this may be the reason why "new Tag" doesn't show some "Comments" that Tag 0.41 shows)

Re: Tag 1.0.1: corrupted artwork
Stephen... really...it's almost one month I'm using Tag and... 9 out of 10 times, if I add Artwork after editing other tags and without first quitting/relaunching Tag... it gets corrupted! happens with AIFF, FLAC and ALAC (but I seldom use the latter format) if you could, please, take a look into th...

Re: Tag 1.0.1: could not save file
after two days ripping CDs and editing tags with Tag I confirm: - only way to avoid *any* issue is quitting/relaunching Tag after editing/saving changes in *one* of its "panes" (Basic, Sorting, Misc. etc) - even if I switch *momentarily* to a different "pane" (eg to copy from "Basic/Artist" before p...

Re: Tag 1.0.1: could not save file
... hmmm... one file at a time? never tried as... it actualy defeats the whole purpose ;-) only way I have found, so far, to avoid any issue is saving and quitting/relaunching Tag before editing something in a different "pane" (eg. Basic, Sorting, Misc etc) what always leads to errors is, in the sam...

Re: Tag 1.0.1: could not save file
ok, seems I found how to *always* reproduce the issue: - rip to AIFF using XLD (fill all tags you wish *but* comment: leave it empty) - open tracks in Tag, select all, "Calculate Replay Gain" and save - now move to "Misc" tab and delete all that XLD has inserted in "Comment" (a series of numbers and...

Re: Tag 1.0.1: could not save file
... sorry stephen: just to restate this issue nags me almost every time I use Tag I must quit without saving changes and retry then... all is fine (same track, same edits but... no more "not a valid xy format file" alert on save) I'm using FLACs and AIFFs only and I'm on 10.8.2, if this matters aaar...
