Sorry, I didn't get into detail as I thought this was a known issue in the past. Ripping a CD (to Apple Lossless, with preferences set to eject disc when ripping complete. The error message pops up before the last track is encoded. I click OK to clear the error message, then Max proceeds to encode t...

Eject error persists in .7

Bah, in version .7 I'm still having the "An error occurred on device disk3. Unable to eject the disc." problem.

Update?

When will we see another point release of Max vs. strictly developer builds?

1. CD ripping error correction 2. MusicBrainz support 3. Improved/streamlined UI (its pretty good already, but might need some tweaking). 4. MusePack support 5. Shorten support 6. Improved AppleScript support I agree completely with krmathis' priority order. Well, OK, mostly agree. I don't care abo...

I could never get EAC to work correctly under Parallels. The app would run, but the secure ripping speed was glacial. It may have been user error, but I finally gave up.

Hi there I just tested comparison ripper with a know faulty disc - EAC throws up missing sampes and read errors on it. Max however rips it fine with no errors, but the resulting files does have audio artifacts. I haven't tried the same disc using the paranoia settings so I don't know about that yet...

I keep getting the error message "An error occurred on device disk3. Unable to eject the disc." Of 4 discs I've ripped (using secure mode) so far, 3 have given me the error. I'm using an Intel iMac with the OEM internal SuperDrive. I don't get the message until the final track is being ripped. I'm n...

Why does the Ripper highlight the last track...

rather than the first (or currently ripping) track, causing me to have to scroll to the top to see the ripping progress? Am I doing something wrong?

Stephen, you are a hero to Mac users (who own CDs) everywhere.

Goodbye Windows, goodbye EAC, hello Max.

And here I was launching Parallels for another desperate attempt to get EAC to work (always fails me in Parallels) when I saw that Max .6 had been posted. Yeeehaw! Ripping now.

Has anyone put .6 through its paces with a heavily-damaged disc yet?

Any idea on when the secure ripping version of Max will be ready to roll? I dumped my PC when I bought my Intel iMac (hence no more EAC) and have CDs itching to be ripped...

Please let it be soon.

Can't wait to see the release of the secure ripping version. I dumped my PC and PowerMac for an Intel iMac but didn't manage to get EAC running using Parallels. I don't care to reboot (Boot Camp) just to rip CDs, so I'm anxious for secure ripping in Max.
