You may want to check out AccurateRip.

http://www.accuraterip.com/

It sounds similar to what the Comparison Ripper was doing, except using information from everyone online to do the comparison.

Both dbpoweramp and Exact Audio Copy use it.

On a related note, I have had several CD's who I ripped directly to MP3 using Max 0.6.1 and have the option selected to add to iTunes immediantly. However, when those few CD's are added to iTunes, the following happens: 1) I cannot add any artwork. Same issue the person above was having...they would...

Could someone post a compiled build from SVN so I could do some testing on the CD's I was having problems with?

Specifically I want to test a couple of CD's that just had noise when ripped and several enhanced CD's I have.

Ripped to just LAME. Tried changing the quality but that didn't do anything.

I am on an iMac G5.

Other CD's I have tried so far (note, I have only done a few) have worked fine.

All noise when encoded

I attempted to rip R.E.M.'s "The Best of R.E.M. - In Time 1998-2003" and every track was 100% noise.

Ripping other CD's so far seem fine, no issues.

How to input LAME settings

How do I have LAME use the equivelant of -v 3 --vbr-new? It would be great if you had an option to type in the command line for LAME (or for any encoder really). Either that or offer much more presets for the common LAME command lines. The LAME encoder you can use with iTunes allows me to type in th...
