Ah. A little tinkering, and what I found is that: {fileFormat}/{albumArtist}/{albumTitle}/{trackNumber}-{trackTitle}
does not work. However, this: {fileFormat}/ {albumArtist}/{albumTitle}/{trackNumber}-{trackTitle}
DOES. (Note the extra space before the artist name).

Extracting Multiple Formats Simultaneously
I am ripping a bunch of my CDs to FLAC (for archival purposes), but also simultaneously to MP3 (for iTunes). Max allows me to extract both formats in one pass (nice!), but I would also like to segregate the two formats into separate folder hierarchies. Max sort of supports this, if I put {fileFormat...

Does Rip allow partial processing?
If I have asked Rip to extract an entire disc, and Rip runs into troubles on, say the 10th song out of 14, is there any way to stop the ripping process *without* losing the first 9 songs? Re: Import function problems
I'm not sure my previous reply on this thread got through. It's not showing up.
The upshot of my tests shows that the problem in Play has to do with the .cue files. Play lurches to a halt when it encounters one on import. I'm pretty sure that shouldn't happen.

Re: Import function problems
For what it's worth, I have found that if I select folders in Finder and drag them into the library, the files are added. After this, an import of a single artist folder with an album sub-folder worked quickly. As an experiment, I cleared my library and tried reimporting all the files in my FLAC hie...

Import function problems
I tried importing all my FLAC files in one pass, by selecting the base directory (/FLAC) that holds my various music. Within the base directory are directories for each artist, and then within each artist, for each album--as is standard in most digital music archives (e.g., /FLAC/Beatles/Revolver). ...
