You could try the mp3splt commandline tool. If you use MacPorts, you can install it from there.
Here's the homepage of the project: http://mp3splt.sourceforge.net for more info.
Good luck...

Re: Poll: Feature priorities
I voted for option 1, as one of the main "features" for me is the lack of a library. I'll keep my music organized via the Finder myself, I don't want a music player to mess with them. The current "Save Playlist" feature is more than enough for me as well. I love the "minimalism" of the current Decib...

The Command key trick works for me too, so it's not your installation.

I guess you could use Airfoil for sending the audio to your Airport speakers...

Re: Decibel 1.2.4 prerelease available
Hi Stephen, I've installed the 5th pre-release and used it a bit. Everything seems to work fine for me, apart from these things: Last.fm plugin: "Now Playing" update is only sent for the first song The Play/Pause button doesn't always update correctly. Most of the times, when Decibel is playing, you...

Re: Decibel 1.2.3 prerelease available
Hi Stephen,
I can confirm the "now playing" isn't working in the 3rd pre-release (it was working for me in the 2nd though)

Re: Decibel 1.2.3 prerelease available
Hi Stephen, I checked the MD5 sums of the Scrobbler bundle in both the pre-release you made available and the fixed bundle for 1.2.2 Checksum of Decibel.app/Contents/PlugIns/Scrobbler.bundle/Contents/MacOS/Scrobbler in 1.2.2 (with fixed Scrobbler.bundle) MD5 (Scrobbler) = c4323109a05a6831d067e412ecf...

Re: Decibel 1.2.3 prerelease available
I have tested 1.2.3 a bit as well. I've encountered a few minor issues: Like Lyr said, the Play button doesn't change into a Pause button Last.fm scrobbling works, but the Now Playing Update is only done for the first track. Occasionally, when I add more tracks to the current playlist, the first of ...

Re: Last.fm PluginProblems
I unzipped the file Stephen uploaded and put it in the Contents/Plugins folder inside the Decibel app. That fixed it for me. Did you quit Decibel before replacing the bundle?

Re: Last.fm PluginProblems
Same thing here: I get a "updating now playing" notification of the first track, but that's it. No tracks get scrobbled. I've made a log while playing 1 album. You can find it here:http://dl.dropbox.com/u/629150/Decibel.log if it's of any use.

Rip crashes from time to time
From time to time, Rip crashes after finishing extracting a disc. Re-extracting the disc afterwards is always successful. I've tried reporting this using Rip's Crash Reporter that pops up after restarting Rip, but no matter how much I click the Report button, nothing happens. I find this in the Cons...

Re: Inconsistent files
Your external harddisk can be found under /Volumes, so, if your external HD is called "External HD", you have to use the command: cd "/Volumes/External HD" (it's important to include the quotes in the command). Now you're in the "root" of your external harddisk. You can now cd into the folder that h...

What does Rip do after extracting tracks?
When Rip has finished extracting tracks, and I want to quit the application, I get an "Encoding still in progress" dialog warning me that quitting now will result in corrupt files. What is Rip doing at that time? I see my available harddisk space first decreasing, and after a while increasing again....

Re: Inconsistent files
The command is ls (LS), Perhaps you used a capital i instead of an L.
so "ls -lR" is "LS -LR" when written in capitals.
Hope this helps...
