Re: No support for macOS Catalina
I second this. Max is a critical, go-to app for me. Would love to have it in Catalina.

Small feature request
Hi Steven,
If I might throw out a minor feature request for Max - I don't know how easy it is to implement, but I would sure like an option for the application to quit after an batch finishes encoding.
Thanks for listening.

Left window
Is there a way to sort the files in the left hand window like there was in the previous version of tag? The drop down menu from the search field does not seem to have a bearing on how the files are listed. I seem to remember that one could organize the files in the viewer window by artist, filename,...

Re: I've seen Tag is out on MAS, but...
Just a quick thank you for the updated Tag. I bought my copy (and frankly would have paid a lot more considering how much I've used v. 0.4.1). I've had no issues thus far. Keep up the great work!

Re: Transcoding with Max
I think my issue had something to do with the output location. I selected the "Automatically Add to iTunes" folder as the output folder and got the error mentioned previously. When I changed the output location to another folder the files converted just fine. I'm assuming because the Auto Add folder...

Transcoding with Max
I'm having issues transcoding FLAC to mp3 with Max. I just upgraded to Lion and didn't have any issues previously so I assume that is the issue. Just as the file seems to finish transcoding I receive and error message that says Max was unable to open the output file. Is anyone else experiencing this...

Minor request
Would it be possible to add a "Comments" column to the Decibel viewer? I use the comments field in Tag a lot for date/venue information of live shows. Would love to be able to see it in Decibel.
Keep up the good work!

Re: Is there ever going to be a new verion of Play?
Stephen, if you ever need any HDCD files, let me know. I've got plenty of HDCD discs, all of which are ripped to FLAC.sbooth wrote:randian wrote: I don't have any files for testing or development.

Re: Valuable feature requests
I like suggestion #3, as I am in the "&" camp and not "and" - I also capitalize the first letter of every word, including prepositions and articles. So something along the line proposed would be useful. The other thing I would suggest is artwork support. I don't know if it's been suggested before, b...

Re: Flac to Apple Lossless
xACT also has the capability to generate MD5 and ST5 checksums if you're like me and can't figure out how to use the FLAC command line stuff. I tried... and failed miserably. The new 2.0 version should be out soon if it isn't already.

Re: Replay Gain and Tags
Good to know. Looks like I'm teaching myself metaflac command line stuff today. Thanks! *UPDATE* Apparently command line stuff is not as straight forward as I thought it was. While the commands make sense, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to actually run the metaflac program. Any help woul...

Re: Multiple file output option
Right, it dawned on me that that last part might have been a bit confusing. EAC, for example, can submit rip data to the larger accurip database, which, in theory, helps to make a better, more accurate database - or so I would assume. I know that XLD does not do this, but I cannot remember the reaso...

Late to the party but relevant nonetheless. My methodology, for anyone interested:

Replay Gain and Tags
Stephen, I don't know if this is within the purview of Tag, but it would be a handy feature for one of your applications - the ability to determine the ReplayGain information for FLACs one already has. Basically, if wanted to go through my FLAC archive and add replay gain information without re-ripp...
