Most of the features on the roadmap, which are dated one year back, are added to Max.
  • Shorten support -> Done
  • Musepack support -> Done
  • Improved/streamlined UI (see this thread for ideas) -> Done
  • MusicBrainz support -> Done
  • Improved AppleScript support (need help designing the AS interface!!)
  • CD ripping error correction. -> Done (might not be finished)
  • Support for splitting files using a cue sheet -> Not yet
  • Support for joining multiple files -> Not yet
But I still miss the ability to split files using a cue sheet. Example add a single wav/cue file to Max, then output to individual ALAC files.
Any news about this feature?

Thanks! :D

This is the next feature I plan on adding. Hopefully within a month or two I will have the first iteration of external cue sheets working.

I'm new to Max (and new to Mac's, too), but am a very seasoned EAC user.

Is CD ripping error correction pretty good in Max now? Can I depend on it to "do the right thing", or should I still keep a Windows system around (or Boot Camp, or whatever) for EAC?

Thanks ...

C2 is a maze of smoke mirrors. Is why EAC folk that know more than me don't trust it. Basically, just because a drive reputedly supports it doesn't mean it does in fact. Same with whether or not a drive really does or does not cache audio. Best is to err on safety and not trust either. In which case you only have EAC set to drive does cache audio and does not support C2. Bummer? Yes. We Mac folk are SO close. I have a Bootcamp partition solely for EAC. Good news is latest Parallels handles EAC/BootCamp.

How bout support for mounted disc images such as CD extracted with Toast. If i mount a SD2F toast CD DA Image MAX produces an error "Unable to read the disc's table of contents." which sux because Max wont even add the files from the image to be encoded, this will be useful for DJ mix's.
