Feature request: 'nickname' as format specifier

Post by cameron » Sun Jul 06, 2008 9:03 am

I think a great addition in a future version would be to add the 'nickname' of an output format as a format specifier to tag with. This way a different folder would be created for each encoding type if the output format was the same. For example a 320 and 192 mp3 rip/encoding done at the same time would not be put in the same folder. I have noticed this voiced on some other forums and thought I might share it here.

Thanks for a great program!

Let's hope it's accepted. Just last night I ripped a CD to ALAC and 2 bitrates of AAC - high for laptop with decent speakers, low for iPhone. Not that my ears are all that good, but it's a size thang - ALAC on a huge external for file server, HQ AAC for laptop so's it sounds as good as can be expected through desktop speakers, LQ AAC for small drive of iPhone.
