Converting AAC to MP3 with Max doesn't seem to work

Post by nemesys » Mon Apr 23, 2012 12:15 am

I want to convert some of the non-protected, AAC songs in my iTunes library to regular MP3s for use by a QuickTime Streaming server. Most of the files can be read by QTSS fine but for some reasons, some files will result in QTSS refusing to load the file and generating a "bad file format". I have tried different MP3 encoder settings in Max but it doesn't seem to matter.

Anybody knows why those files would fail? All the files are processed by Max so I would think the output would be the same but, clearly, it is not.

Any help or info greatly appreciated!
