Max or my SuperDrive?

Post by djej » Tue Jun 14, 2011 2:47 am

Occasionally, I have an issue when ripping a CD where a track skips right around the 0:03 mark. Most of the time it's on the first track, although occasionally I've had it happen on a non-first track. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the drive spin-up or possibly something with Max itself.

Either way, any suggestions on what I can do to help with this situation? I've looked for some kind of setting to slow down the rip speed but didn't see it (possibly overlooked it?).

I use an 20" iMac from mid-2007, although I didn't buy it until late 2008 as an Apple-certified refurb. Here is the info on my SuperDrive:

Thanks!
